-- Marvin Vs Weak Notrumps (a tough defense aimed at punshing this overbid)
The author has written many articles published in Popular Bridge, The Bridge World, and the ACBL monthly Bulletin. That includes some of the Marvin defenses, but because of space limitations the articles had much less detail than those included here.

Mr. French outlines defensive measures against several common opening bids and continuations in bridge. His methods aren't terrible and he explains them fairly well. However, his defenses against Weak Twos and Weak NT are both seemingly grounded in a conviction that these are unsound methods and must be "punished."
